I dread going to the dentist because of the same issue. I got a really bad bout of iritis once when they used a high pressure cleaner on my teeth. I won't let them use it anymore.

My eyes also get bloodshot when I brush my teeth so I know something is triggering it.

I couldn't give you any data on smoking and a flare up, but I can tell you that my flare ups get worse if I drink alcohol. My best fix when I get a flareup is to eat really healthy and excersise. It seems if I can control my stress I can control the flareups.

I would second what Mike says. When I have a bad breakout I always have to take the dialating drops. My pupil always gets stuck. I still have portions of my iris that tore off and can be seen during my routine eye exams. This was cause by not dialating in time. I am a college graduate and experience...

Is anybody currently using this drug? I went and saw a new eye doctor recently and she prescribed this as a non steroid eye drop.

Has anyone had success with this?
